Roni Zapin began her Database Marketing career in 1981 with BBDO Advertising in their Marketing Sciences Group. She continued her career at Columbia House and American Express in their Marketing analytic groups before joining CitiGroup as a VP, Database Marketing. Roni became an executive recruiter in the Database and Direct Marketing industry in 1995. She started RL Zapin Associates in 2001. Roni holds an MBA in Marketing and Quantitative Analysis from the University of Cincinnati, and a BS in Business Administration from SUNY Binghamton.

New Job in Nashville Area....

VP, Consumer Insights 
 Nashville area...
 New function in this multi-brand consumer company to build and lead a Consumer Insights Team who provide actionable recommendations for branding, product, and customer  marketing opportunities for each of the brands.  .  Lead Insights work required for success of initiatives, including product/brand positioning, product enhancements/re-launches, expansion into new categories and channels, marketing messages, packaging, etc. Develop the long term vision for the Insights group as you hire and lead the team, providing training and expert support/guidance as needed, and manage all third-party market research vendor relationships. You will work cross-functionally with Senior Management Brand Management, and Product Development to help them understand market gaps/needs, as well as keep them abreast of industry trends and competitive activities.

 This position REQUIRES an individual that has Built out/Developed an Insights team at a multi-product CPG or consumer products organization. Someone well versed in both qualitative and quantitative research, including research design, analysis, and tools/techniques.  Most important is the experience of educating, influencing and driving the "voice of the customer" into decision making across the organization.
